The file is there. I think I really had spaces in the path. That must be it.

I installed another component in the same folder (powerpdf) and had no problems. C:\lazarus\components\news\

Lazarus also installed on Windows XP and the same error occurred
"Unable to find file" win32richmemo.pas. "

I tried with the SVN and the zipped file skalogryz

Got it. files (win32richmemo win32richmemoproc) were in the win32 folder from the package. For some reason, were not found. I removed this folder and it worked.
