jpeg and gif image in a Timage ???

excuse me i'm a new user. :roll:

is it possible to use a gif or jpeg image in a Timage ?

they're  very popular format and Delphi use them, so i 'm suprised  :shock: when lazarus say me : " unknown picture extension" when my exe try to load an gif image......

someone can explain my error,
or tell me that Lazarus can't use this format in timage and what to do to put gif images somewhere in my form...
i need to to !  :evil: (i don't whant to change my images)

Use PNGs instead of GIFs.
As for JPEG there's a JPEG4Lazarus but currently it's problematic
