Cannot find unit interfaces

When I compile a program I get the error 'cannot find unit interfaces'. If I select the unit with the mouse and  use right mousecursor (find declaration) the editor opens with the correct file interfaces.pas. What did I miss?

Did you read the FAQ. The linux faq contains this question too.

It is possibly caused by using one compiler (version) for compiling the LCL and another for compiling your application.
