Hi everyone,
I missed the look of the good old Delphi 7 / Windows 2000 days, so I made a small icon pack for Lazarus:
NeoClassicIcons. Screenshots are attached below.
What's inside- 141 icons (file, edit, data, navigation, devices, media, text formatting and more), hand-made 16x16 pixel art in the classic 16-colour palette, with pixel-doubled 32x32 versions for HiDPI
- TNeoClassicImageList: drop it on a form and every icon is already there. Pick them in the Object Inspector or use constants like nciDocumentSave
- The images are linked as resources, so no bitmap data ends up in your .lfm files
- Image indexes are stable: new icons are only ever appended, so your forms won't break on updates
- Optional NeoClassicTheme unit that gives a GTK2 application the gray Windows 2000 look (only your app, not the desktop)
- Plain PNGs are included too, if you just want the images
- MIT licensed
Installation: open
package/neoclassicicons.lpk, Compile, Use > Install. The component appears on the
NeoClassic palette tab.
uses
NeoClassicImageList, NeoClassicIconNames;
ToolBar1.Images := NeoClassicImageList1;
tbSave.ImageIndex := nciDocumentSave;
btnDelete.ImageIndex := NeoClassicImageList1.IndexOfName('edit_delete');
GitHub: https://github.com/lastlos/NeoClassicIconsIcon list with names and constants: docs/ICONS.mdI've tested it with Lazarus 3.0 / FPC 3.2.2 on Linux (GTK2). Feedback from Windows and macOS users would be very welcome, and so would icon requests. Every icon is a small ASCII text file in
src/, so contributions are easy too.
Thanks!
