Project inspector --> right button there is "open"
why not add "open readonly"  too ?

this will help not-to-touch code (for mistake...) if code is shared between projects as fully working units ?

also add a symbol in source editor tabs to signal "this is readonly"

Right-click anywhere (in the editor text) and select in popup menu "File Settings > Read Only". The status bar will display "Readonly".
