How to view the TODO list?
« on: May 09, 2026, 11:23:35 am »
For example, I wrote the following code:

{ TODO -oYHJ :a_test_todo }

I want to view my TODO List in the Lazarus IDE. Which menu command or shortcut key should I use?

Menu View, Todo List.

Which assumes the ToDoListLaz package is installed in the IDE. (It normally is...).

No. It is not a standard install.
objects are fine constructs. You can even initialize them with constructors.

No. It is not a standard install.

Why? As far as I can see, it's part of the make "bigide" target, which is used when generating releases. Therefore, this package should already be installed when using the standard Lazarus installer.

Okay... how about it is an installable and uninstallable package. So you have no clue what a user has done to their install. If you want to use it... it has to be installed.

Everyone happy?

I absolutely agree that it's better to tell users how to install the package.

But I specifically quoted the words "It is not a standard install". The word "standard" only refers to a "freshly installed" configuration, one that hasn't been modified by the user. Therefore, by default, this package is installed.
