Can't load projects from iCloud drive anymore
« on: April 26, 2026, 07:50:03 pm »
Hi all,

This is not a fault of Lazarus - I usually have all my projects on my Apple iCloud drive and edit them from there, etc. However, recently (must've been the last OS update to 26.4.1) that Lazarus can no longer find the iCloud drive.

The full path is /Users/<user>/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~CloudDocs, but Lazarus now reports that the lpi cannot be found. Has anyone else found this? And have you found a way round it? (aside from moving everything onto macOS main folder and doing it from there...which defeats the purpose of the iCloud drive, in my opinion)

Cheers,

Gerald.

I don't have this problem with macOS Tahoe. Perhaps the problem has another reason than Lazarus and iCloud. I hope for you that you have a backup.
function GetRandomNumber: integer; // xkcd.com
begin
  GetRandomNumber := 4; // chosen by fair dice roll. Guaranteed to be random.
end;
