Documentation for DateTimeToJulianDate
« on: April 04, 2026, 12:27:30 pm »
It seems to me that the documentation for DateTimeToJulianDate function contains a (very understandable) confusion between Julian date and Julian calendar.

It is not Julian as opposed to Gregorian.

How can people have chosen such a bad name (Julian day)?  %)

If you think it should say something different... write it and submit a patch. They'll either approve or deny the patch and the world will keep spinning.

@dsiders
Thank you for the suggestion.

I am not sure how it should be formulated. For me, I would have written "to a Julian day number" instead of "to a Julian (as opposed to Gregorian) date".

But maybe it is good as it is.
My projects are on Codeberg.
