lNet Installation Problem (SSL related)
« on: March 31, 2026, 09:33:29 pm »
Has anyone successfully installed lNet from the OPM or from a .zip download lately?  I'm trying to get an old program that used lNet for UDP messaging workinig, solved a number of issues but am now stuck on some kind of SSL problem that has me stumped.

Is there a known-working UDP component (for Linux 64bit)  I should explore instead of lNet?

I have installed succesfully lNet on Windows and Linux on PC (I suppose I have used OPM).
I had some troubles on RaspverryPI, here is how the issue was solved: https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,63076.msg570320.html#msg570320
But I have not used SSL, I have tried unsuccesfully to, but I have no idea it LNet was involved.
Лазар 4,4 32 bit (sometimes 64 bit); FPC3,2,2

Thank you CM630.  I made the modification suggested in that thread to fix the QT5 issue, but then got stuck on error messages relating to SSL.  Did you install the visual components?

I think the problem I'm having with lNet may be connected to my recent update to Lazarus 4.4.  Not sure by any means.  The console apps appear to be working, problem is only with the visual components.

Not at all sure why, but I tried downloading the lNet.zip again, tried installing the two .lpk files from there -- and everything seems to be working now.
