Code Completion window in the center of the monitor
« on: March 20, 2026, 03:28:47 pm »
Hi,

When I use Code Completion then the screen is placed in the middle of the monitor and not at the cursor. As far as I know, I can't change that myself.

Lazarus 4.6 on Linux Ubuntu Qt5. (I have never had this with Windows).

Hi Hans
That sounds a lot, like you're running 'Wayland', 'cause it centers windows...
...On my X11 it shows up at the cursor.
Regards Benny
If it ain't broke, don't fix it ;)
PCLinuxOS(rolling release) 64bit -> KDE6/QT6 -> FPC Release -> Lazarus Release &  FPC Main -> Lazarus Main

Hi Benny,

That explains why I first got more screens in Lazarus only exactly in the middle of the screen. I have therefore turned on docking. That works good.
