A better Star Trek deck
« on: February 03, 2026, 02:11:04 pm »
I like this one better. This one took more work on my part. ChatGpt made the face cards and a sprite sheet of numbers, suit icons and a few small ship icons along with a card with a starry background, but empty other wise. I did my normal conversion process from jpg to my sprite format for the face cards. I pieced together the rank cards using the "spare parts." Initially I didn't like the suits on the sprite sheet so I made my own. These were ok, but I decided to "lift" the suit icons from the face cards, save those as suit sprites and then redid the rank cards so everything would match up better. It took some fiddling with the x,y offsets, but once I get the offsets for each suit and number, I just ran it through a suit/rank double for loop to create all of the sprites.

For this deck I used characters and ships from Star Trek, the original series, Next Generation, Voyager and Star Trek:Enterprise.

And who's the Jack of Clubs? Worf?  :P :P :P :D :D :D
One System to rule them all, One Code to find them,
One IDE to bring them all, and to the Framework bind them,
in the Land of Redmond, where the Windows lie

Code is like a joke: If you have to explain it, it's bad
