Remove region adjacent to vertical scrollbar
« on: January 17, 2026, 01:08:52 am »
Is there an option to get rid of the highlighted region in the attached screenshot?

On my desktop (Linux Mint) it simply mirrors the scrollbar, and appears to serve no useful purpose.

This is called the "overview gutter", and it's not exactly a scrollbar. It displays a variety of useful markers - current scrolling, bookmark positions, breakpoints, compiler errors, and more.

To disable it, see the "IDE Options > Editor > Display > Show overview gutter" option.

By the way, colors are configured in the category "IDE Options > Editor > Display > Colors".

Ah, thank you! I'd missed the significance of the Left/Right radio buttons, highlighted in the attached screenshot.
