QT5 maximized
« on: November 19, 2025, 04:14:02 pm »
Apps built with Lazarus and QT5 seems not to fill the whole screen when maximized. It looks like one pixel is missing to the right, vertically, top to bottom. Clicking there gives focus to the app behind. With fresh empty projects also. Download and maximize the attached picture to see what i mean.

Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS and 4-5 months old trunk lazarus

Is there a solution so the full screen is covered when maximized?

I suggest you include the desktop environment / window manager in use with this type of query. That'll be the first question asked.

But The issue is present in QT6+X11 too. So, apparently a widgetset issue common to both QT5 and QT6.

Please submit a bug report to the issue tracker at https://gitlab.com/freepascal.org/lazarus/lazarus/-/issues (link also on the left).

Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]
  1. Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma 5.27
  2. Window Manager: KWin
  3. Display Server: X11 (no Wayland )
  4.

Thanks, thats valuable info. I was just about to spend time trying QT6.
