For newbies I don't recommend Fedora. Fedora isn't bad but it is too configurable, can be confusing for new users, and it requires above average hardware to be able to run smoothly.

Long ago when there were still people to talk to …. It was recommended to me by nickolay because Lazarus is easy to install.

If it’s for commercial use, there's probably a need to be able to checkout a shopping cart with Paypal:
- see https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,38118.msg263195.html#msg263195 (@Leledumbo explained the Paypal protocol basics used inside the fpWeb framework);
- already written, by https://www.tmssoftware.com/site/tmswebintro.asp, which allows to test their components web compliant ( https://www.tmssoftware.com/site/tmswebcoredemos.asp ), including a demonstration tunnel to checkout a cart with PayPal: https://download.tmssoftware.com/tmsweb/demos/webshop/ ( installation note for "tms web core" inside Lazarus: https://www.tmssoftware.com/site/blog.asp?post=980 posted in August 2022 );

Technologies used: fpWeb, {fast-}CGI, pas2js

Regards.
