Why is there no Chinese section in the forum?

I think it's not a bad idea to open a Chinese section (I'm Italian), it could increase the number of users of Lazzarus, at least I think so.

I'm not sure if it is a good idea, as a separate Lazarus/FPC forum in Chinese already exists.

For example, we don't have a forum section in German here, because there is a very active Lazarus forum in German which is not hosted here, so having a German language section in this forum would only divide German speaking community.

On the other hand, Russian language has its own section here, although they have another forum as well.
I doubt that it was a good choice to create more than one forum in one language.

IMHO, there's no point in language boards if no one answers questions there. I see low activity there, and even simple questions aren't answered.

Sometimes even English-speaking users use translator to try to answer there. But then why shouldn't the questioners themselves do it, with the opportunity to get answers from a broad and active English-speaking community? In many browsers, translators even automatically translate pages; it's just difficult to write messages.

But if someone doesn't want to use a translator, they'd be better off actually going to a forum in their language, which will definitely be more active. They might even be able to find the answer to their question right away using the search.

By the way, I found an interesting page on the language board.

If I follow the instructions, I'll see that there's also an Arabic board. It's strange that I can see the other boards right away, but for this one, I need to join a "group"...

Same for Dutch (www.nldelphi.com). One would expect the Chinese language area to be large enough to have its own dedicated board :-)
