[SOLVED] & in caption
« on: October 02, 2025, 04:07:10 pm »
I want to put an ampersand, '&', in the caption of a button, but it doesn't show up.  I remember something about special characters to generate underline and italics, etc, but no amount of searching has come up with it.  So, how to put an '&' in a caption?

The & is to mark the next character for shortcut (so A&bc is Alt+b for shortcut).
If you want to show the & then you need to double up.
So A&&bc

[...] but no amount of searching has come up with it.

FYI they are called keyboard accelerators.

That's it – thank you, rvk.  Double up, of course.  I knew I'd kick myself when I found out.

And I'll have to have a gander at shortcuts... maybe not for this project, but it's something to keep in mind.  Thanks, Khrys, for the link.
