fpcupdeluxe without updating from gitlab
« on: September 23, 2025, 11:31:36 am »
Is there an option to compile fpc/lazarus without updating the files from the Git repository?
If I make changes to the sources, it downloads the files from Gitlab and overwrites them.

That is NOT what fpcupdeluxe is for, but you can do it.
Simply use clean-up and build in the IDE is usually enough.
In fpcupdeluxe you can simply use the setup dialog and uncheck the first option. See screenshot.
This prevents downloading the fpc and lazarus sources.
Don't forget to restore it later, because the option is saved.

Forgot that. But you need both, unselect update sources and then select the above by ALLIGATOR
