RooCode on Lazarus
« on: August 23, 2025, 02:50:09 pm »
I wonder if there is a brave (and kind) soul here that would have interest in "port" RooCode to Lazarus, RunVSAgent-style (basically a wrapper for the extension to run thinking it's under VSCode, translating its calls to Lazarus equivalents.

Tried to lure RunVSAgent devs to port themselves that to Lazarus (since they were also expanding the supported IDEs adding a version for XCode IDE), but unfortunately they didn't have interest in doing that for Lazarus.

"port" RooCode to Lazarus ...
I learned from the net that the language of ".ts" suffix files is TypeScript, related to JavaScript.
The project has lots of source. Porting is not trivial.
Mostly Lazarus trunk and FPC 3.2 on Manjaro Linux 64-bit.

Yeah, that's why i put "port" between quotes. It would be done from scratch i think. But if doing something similar to RunVSAgent - not remaking RooCode itself, but doing a wrapper to run it natively (and even other similar vscode extensions).
