[SOLVED] Package Editor: Add New Component
« on: August 15, 2025, 01:09:48 pm »
The first screenshot shows how I reached this point. The second screenshot displays two rectangles — one with a green border and the other with a red border.

Before I began creating my custom controls, the IDE only showed the green-bordered ancestor component. After developing several custom components, I noticed that the red-bordered rectangle components started appearing as well.

My question:
How can I revert things so that only the single green-bordered TCustomControl ancestor rectangle is displayed again, and remove the additional red-bordered design-time outlines? Or is this normal and expected behavior?

I just figured out what was happening. When one installs a custom component package the IDE once everything is done installing makes available the custom control types as Ancestor types you can choose from if you so wish. I uninstalled my custom control package and everything reverted back to defaults. My apologies for wasting everyone's valuable time. At least now we know why  :o
