DBEdit - second click

I have a huge query with many fields. The fields are positioned in a form and everything is connected to a DBNavigator.
On button says "load me" and the query is written and the elements wanted loaded.
Working find.

The thing is this:
There are some fields, I just can overwrite to change the value. I hit "commit" in the DBNavigator and the data are written to the DB.
And then are some fields, where I can write into, but the commit is grey.
I have to click edit before and then it works.

My question:
Is there a way to do it without clicking edit?

Go to a new field and change the content first.
