Can't rebuild lazarus
« on: July 10, 2025, 03:27:08 pm »
After a fresh install of Lazarus 3.0 I get this error when trying to rebuild the IDE (want to add 3rd party components to pallet).  "Unable to find file "laz.virtualtrees.pas"."

This happens even without trying to install anything new.

Running Lazarus on Linux Mint 22.

Hi,

Strange, it's in the OMP (VirtualtreeviewV5)
Try to install it before adding 3rd party components.

IIRC people encountered such errors in some Lazarus versions. Please install the latest 4.0 instead. Or build from fixes_4 branch which is close to a soon to come 4.2 version.

BTW, there is a forum section for Lazarus IDE usage, too. This section is for Pascal language beginners stuff.
Mostly Lazarus trunk and FPC 3.2 on Manjaro Linux 64-bit.
