Please post your ptop configuration
« on: May 17, 2025, 04:11:55 pm »
I'm considering giving Object Pascal a try.

I've tried ptop in its default configuration but its style seems quite different from that of modern Pascal code. (This is just an impression; I could be wrong.)

I've searched for ptop configurations posted by others, but only found one:

If Michalis Kamburelis uses ptop, I would be especially interested in his configuration.

Hello.

xtop uses a custom ptop.cfg config file, maybe you can take a look.

xtop project uses ptop from fpc for pascal code and jtop for java.
I use Lazarus 2.2.0 32/64 and FPC 3.2.2 32/64 on Debian 11 64 bit, Windows 10, Windows 7 32/64, Windows XP 32,  FreeBSD 64.
Widgetset: fpGUI, MSEgui, Win32, GTK2, Qt.

In case you didn't know, as an alternative to ptop, you can also use Jedi Code Format (JCF for short), available from the Lazarus IDE under Menu>Source>Jedi Code Format. It uses a different approach than ptop, but is also configurable.
