A Project Inspector Page in the Tools->Options Form?
« on: April 29, 2025, 03:01:13 am »
In this thread: https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,61827.msg466507.html#msg466507, FlowCrane showed us how to modify the Project Inspector's behavior. In his own words:

Quote
Currently, the Project Inspector window can display the tree of files existing in the project, but each time the content of this tree is changed, it collapses (sic!)... I would like the file tree in this window to always be fully expanded, every node, no matter how many there are.

He included instructions for modifying the ProjectInspector project and rebuilding the IDE. Since he explained this clearly in the thread above, I won't repeat it here.

I'm about to follow his lead, but I loathe creating a one-off mod of the IDE. I wanted to know if there was any inclination to add a Project Inspector Options page in the IDE Options dialog form that would let us tick our preferences without recompiling the IDE?
