Tiled Line Pattern: Like 10Print but done differently
« on: April 14, 2025, 05:02:39 pm »
Tiled Line Pattern done on a TBgrabmp.

I made it colourful.

The border will sometimes differ a little bit (as it depends on the setting of steps and the canvas size)

Playing with the settings (the gap size and line thickness) can produce an interesting textured pattern.

Took 4 versions until I got it working nicely. Enjoy.

Well ... that gave me an instant headache  :D

As always, thank you for the nice example(s). Some implementations/solutions/equations are really fun to learn from.

Today is tomorrow's yesterday.

If generating these bitmaps is reasonably fast, such code could be used for procedural (parameterized) texture generation.

Yes it is quite fast.
Might be nice to alter it to do some procedural (parameterized) texture generation !

I was make vector floodfill and was surprised when I realized that areas filled with only dotted line turn to patterns https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,59419.msg443709.html#msg443709
