And what happened after you posted this question?

How many posts do you expect it should be? (I am not going to count them manually).

Below the menu on the left is a link "Show own posts", so if you want to count....

Mind, the "number of posts" is always increased on all your posts. If you go back to your very first post, it will say "posts: 284".  So if you compare between 2 of your posts, they will be the same.

I'm using the Firefox browser and something does not work with that browser. Yesterday, I used Edge and my post counter add new posts. When I show my own old posts history with a lot of posts number 283.

What I expecting is that you notice a bug with the forum software. Ii's not an important problem for me. My member situation stay the same, in that case it's not vital for me.

The block at the left side of your post is always up-to-date. So it reflects your latest username, status and post-count (even on older posts). Also... your signature under your post is also always the latest one, even on older posts.

And that is why the signature is the worst possible place to put the version of FPC/Lazarus you're using when you ask a question.

As soon as a new version comes out and you update your sig, the contextual information which you thought you'd attached to your questions is overwritten, making the forum much less useful to anybody who arrives here via a search engine etc.

Well, I can't reproduce any such issue. Your count is now 286 on all your posts, and that seems reasonable. If I go to the list of all your posts, then that is the amount of posts in there.

When you wrote the question, it looks to me, as if it should have show 283 on all your posts as the correct number.

And yes, it is correct:
- It shows the same number on all of your posts.
- When you make a new post, the number will increase on all of your posts.

Btw, I use Firefox myself. And I did not notice any issues. Though I don't pay to much attention to my post counter.

In any case, if there are issues in the forum software, its SMF (simplemachines), and issues must be resolved in that project, and then when we eventually update they will be resolved here.

There are one or two changes we made on the original, such as the "select" and/or "+" button for code blocks (I am not sure which one or both...).

But the counter is done by the smf software.

As do I, and OP needs to grok that it's "the user has made N posts at the time you're reading this" rather than "this is the user's Nth post". Same applies to user status etc., so some particularly prolix user's very first post will eventually have him described as "hero" even if he was (through inexperience) spouting utter nonsense at the time.
