Cursor changes to arrow on scrollwheel change

I've run into an issue with the cursor changing to an arrow if the scrollwheel on the mouse is turned.

A very simple example:

-New project (Application)
-Change the form's cursor to anything that isn't an arrow
-Compile and launch the resulting app
-Point at the form and turn the scrollwheel...

in my case the cursor changes to an arrow. Moving the mouse is the only action that resets the cursor back to what it should be.

Is this a problem with my setup, or is it more common?

I have no problems on Windows. Maybe it's a cocoa issue.

I'm thinking this may be a mac os 13 specific issue as per [https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php?topic=61595.0].

I'll upgrade my OS and report the results.

I've updated my os to 13.6.1: same result.
Tried Lazarus 3.8.0 (both aarch64-darwin and x86_64-darwin): same result.
Tried it on computers running os 10.14 and 10.9: same.

I'm stumped!

Here's a super-simple test project, just point your cursor at the form and turn the scroll-wheel. In every case I've tried the cursor changes to an arrow until the mouse is moved.

Do u have a mouse until operating outside of the normal mouse features on your os?

Hello again. I'm revisiting this issue because I've "finished" my program, and am cleaning up a few remaining issues.

On a different computer running MacOS 15.7.4, I've installed Lazarus 4.9 and FPC 3.2.3 via fpcupdeluxe. The first thing I compiled was the "Cursors" example... I'm still getting the same problem: load a custom cursor, spin the mouse scrollwheel, the cursor changes to the default arrow until the mouse is moved, then it changes to the custom cursor.

Can anyone please confirm this? I can't be only one getting this.
