Trying to install FPC 3.0.4 on Linux

Hello everybody!

I would like to install a stand-alone FPC 3.0.4 under Linux (Mageia) for one of my projects. I tried several solutions without success.

I tried to use fpc-3.0.4.x86_64-linux.tar (from Sourceforge). When I run install.sh, there is no error message. When I try to compile something, the compiler generates a binary, but that binary doesn't work.

I even tried the RPM (still from Sourceforge): same result.

Would you have an idea?

FPC 3.0.4 is not able to create executables that run on a modern Linux distro (segmentation fault).

The lowest version number that does is 3.2.0
