There was another post kind of like this earlier, but apparently it's older than 120 days (I didn't really pay attention to the date).  There's a message that came up (see the red box in the attachment) so I started a new message:

So, when I'm writing an application, I often look things up on the internet to see how to write use a control or how a method works and all that good stuff.  I also post here in the forum for help and whatnot.  The problem is that when I return to Lazarus, the form is gone!
No, it's not behind the source code editor, nor any other window.  It's just gone.  I always bring it back using Project > Forms.  But that's a hassle every freaking time. >:( >:( >:(

Anyone got some advice on this about how to stop it from disappearing?

What about switching to the „modern“ IDE design (docked IDE)?

What's a "docked IDE"?
It is a wonderful thing.
Open Lazarus, Main Menu — Packages — Instal/unistall packages — Install all 3 packages that contain the word DOCK in their name. Then press the “Rebuild IDE” button.
If you do not like the result, just uninstall them.
Still, as already mentioned, you will have to use the F12 key.
