I have a similar report against tomboy-ng, this time on U24.04 KDE.

And like you, I could not replicate it. Sadly, the user gave up (apparently).

It works here on mint 20.03, mint 21, mint 22. Tested on all of them with KDE, Cinnamon, XFCE and Gnome.
Of course Qt6 version is different accross various mint major distro releases, but keyboard works fine.

Looks like the Cinnamon on-screen keyboard is the cause (at least in the our case). I can reproduce the problem with enabled on-screen keyboard.
