Lost "Watches" tab
« on: January 26, 2025, 07:19:31 pm »
I'm using AnchorDockingDsgn 1.0 and inadvertently closed the "watch" tab (and others) that usually sit next to the "messages" tab in the window at the bottom of my IDE.   I can't remember how to restore it!  Can anyone point me to the solution?  Been poking at it all morning with no success.

Press Ctrl+Alt+W and your watch window will pop up. You may have to drag and re-dock it after. You can also do the top menu bar--->View--->Debug Windows--->Watches.

Thanks -- appreciate the help.  My problem is I don't remember how to re-dock it as a tab in the "Messages" area.  Can you tell me what I need to do to do that?

Thanks -- appreciate the help.  My problem is I don't remember how to re-dock it as a tab in the "Messages" area.  Can you tell me what I need to do to do that?

1. Re-dock the "Messages" Window:
Open the "Messages" window if it's not already visible by going to View > Debug Windows > Messages
Drag the "Messages" window by its title bar towards the bottom area where you want to dock it.
As you hover over the docking area, you'll see a docking guide or a highlighted area. Release the window when it's in the correct position to dock it as a tab.

2. Arrange as a Tab:
Once docked, if the "Messages" window is not already a tab, click and drag it within the docked area to organize it as a tab.

If you still have a hard time getting this to work let me know and I will post a short video clip that shows exactly what to do.

Glad things are back to the way they were. 'I' have been there, done that on more than one occasion so that is probably why 'I' remember now what to do

Took me a very long while to figure out you have to drag that window by its title bar.
