If I say that Facebook is not needed in the future, will you ask them what to do with your facebook usage? :)

Facebook was never needed at all! What a boring place, programming is much more fun ..

AI is a fabulous tool. But it's like the invention of the pencil, it didn't make all humans better at drawing.
I use Lazarus 2.2.0 32/64 and FPC 3.2.2 32/64 on Debian 11 64 bit, Windows 10, Windows 7 32/64, Windows XP 32,  FreeBSD 64.
Widgetset: fpGUI, MSEgui, Win32, GTK2, Qt.

The introduction of AI is like the invention of photography in the 19th century. It increased the possibilities and opened new perspectives but in no way did it make painting obsolete or unnecessary.
function GetRandomNumber: integer; // xkcd.com
begin
  GetRandomNumber := 4; // chosen by fair dice roll. Guaranteed to be random.
end;

18th. 1793, permanent - bitumen based - established 1823.

This is actually a quite romantic story and a recurring subject in many books and movies: the 1793 experiments made the photo disappear over - quite a short - time.
Dorian Grey, Back to the future, etc.
(then again, my early youth Polaroids disappear too, to my chagrain, but at least they lasted 65+ years )

I think new technologies often make things into a monoculture controlled by very few people.

Before sheet music for instance all musicians played by ear and were free to create new songs. After sheet music there were musicians compelled to play music written by someone else. Creativity was diminished. Musical recordings eliminated the necessity for live performers/orchestras altogether in most cases.

But I suspect that the professional painters, ex. for personal portraits, became a much smaller community after photography had good diffusion.
World is not static, no matter this like or dislike us.

Popup ads you will get for free once the AI companies have turned you into a (addicted) consumer (capitalism at its best). The client ? It is already there in trunk, see jan.ai in case you want to experiment without installing trunk.
I do not have to remember anything anymore thanks to total-recall.
