In 1.0.2 and 1.1.1 TLSv1 through TLSv1_1 is still available and working.
Ok sorry, I guess I was wrong and TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are only removed from openssl 3. Not from 1.0.2.

  • Kallstadt seems a good place to evict Trump to.

If anybody still wants to use tls 1.0 after six or more years of deprecations ,warnings and removal from all major crypto libraries:

Good luck. And don't argue.

But I am sure they don't want the Trumps back...

Like I told, I don't agree with the use of TLSv1 and TLSv1_1. And I don't use them in my personally works.

But you have to think that there are hundreds, thousands of industrial machines (not connected to the Internet) that rely on this.
And not long ago I worked on OpenSSL 1.0.2zi for a large customer.
Changing the defaults in my opinion, but I don't think I'm alone in thinking so, is not a good action.
When the Indy version will change (it could be 10.7 or 11 for example) then I think it can be done by releasing appropriate notes.

And writing "not argue" is not a beatiful concept.

But I'm writing it anyway so that the reader can still be informed about realities that perhaps they are not aware of.

Thanks for your attention and goodbye.

Then that should be fixed in a similar manner that the core team used on my request: greedy, i.e. highest first in all cases until a supported handshake is found, else abort with error. This also scales better to future versions.

I'm aware of the issue:

https://github.com/IndySockets/IndyTLS-OpenSSL/issues/13

- A damned well worded error message that explicitly explains to the user's  encryption libs are not up-to-date and that that is user error.

The error message in question comes from OpenSSL itself. The wording is not Indy's.

In your case I hope you did not pick up anything offensive from my reactions, because I know you try your best and one of the few with sufficient knowledge.
I merely pointed to the direction we chose.
But I am sure they don't want the Trumps back...
