Help (F1) when installing Lazarus using FpcUpDeluxe
ap3000:
When installing Lazarus using FpcUpDeluxe on Windows, the F1 help doesn't work, but installing using the Windows installer from the Lazarus homepage works as expected.
Do I miss a path configuration or does FpcUpDeluxe not install the help files?

Does your Lazarus directory have CHM files in docs/chm? If not, they weren't installed.

Did you explicitly checked the checkbox in setup+ where it states "include help" ?

No, docs/chm is empty - It contains only the empty file "OneFileToKeepThisDir.sh".

No, I'm using the FpcUpDeluxe to install it. This is an easy way to implement cross-compiling options. And it doesn't use the default installer and there you don't get this checkbox "Include help"
But now the help is not been installed. Is there a way to install/copy the help files from somewhere else?

You can download the CHM files from SourceForge at:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/lazarus/files/Lazarus%20Documentation/
Just select the version you want, and unzip the downloaded file to the docs/chm directory in your Lazarus install.
