The wiki is currently unavailable
« on: November 22, 2024, 09:22:35 pm »
So, uh, I'm not sure if this is necessary/appropriate to bring up, but the wiki seems to be currently unavailable. I haven't noticed this being brought up anywhere, so I'm not even sure if it's just an issue on my end, or if it's just gone unnoticed/unmentioned?

I see, thank you. Still unavailable here, but I've checked with a different browser, and it seems that it's not just unavailable, but that connection is actively being refused. Which gives me an inkling as to what is happening.

I tried to create an account on the wiki yesterday, and I guess it must have auto-flagged me as a bot and blocked my IP, or something like that. Any ideas who I have to contact to get that fixed?

I'd suggest leaving it here for the moment, but bump it daily to make sure it appears in the "Recent" column.

I believe there's been multiple spam attacks over the last few days, so there's a possibility that one or more telcos is blocked.

Thank you, apparently it got fixed because I can access the wiki again. So hooray for that.

Although I'm still worried whether I should try creating an account, or whether that'll run the risk of me getting nuked again.

I'd suggest giving it a whirl, and if you have problems raise it here.

All of these are down for me (from https://wiki.freepascal.org/Free_Pascal#Documentation )

http://lazarus-ccr.sourceforge.net/fpcdoc/user/user.html User's guide
http://lazarus-ccr.sourceforge.net/fpcdoc/prog/prog.html Programmer's guide
http://lazarus-ccr.sourceforge.net/fpcdoc/ref/ref.html Reference guide for the system unit, and supported Pascal constructs
http://lazarus-ccr.sourceforge.net/fpcdoc/units/units.html Standard units reference manual
http://lazarus-ccr.sourceforge.net/docs/rtl/index.html Run Time Library reference manual
http://lazarus-ccr.sourceforge.net/fpcdoc/fcl/index.html Free Component Library reference manual
http://lazarus-ccr.sourceforge.net/fpcdoc/fpdoc/fpdoc.html Free Pascal documentation tool manual

Those files are all located at https://www.freepascal.org/docs.html.

The Lazarus CCR site at https://lazarus-ccr.sourceforge.io/docs/index.html hosts only LCL, LazUtils, and mirrors of the RTL, and FCL references.

I think the ones you listed may have been there at one point, but were not restored after SourceForge nuked the CCR docs site for no reason.
Preview the next Lazarus documentation release at: https://dsiders.gitlab.io/lazdocsnext
