The attached image is a screenshot of the app. The forum software complained when I tried to post both attachments in the single post.

There is the little print when attaching files
Quote
Restrictions: 4 per post, maximum total size 500KB, maximum individual size 500KB
That means 500kb in one or multiple files, whatever comes first  :)

Consider making multiple posts and/or using an image host.

edit: oh, I just noticed the dimensions... scaling down might help as well  :D

I do not have to remember anything anymore thanks to total-recall.

Hi
@MrPink: May I ask, what OS you're running?!? Is it 'Winders', *nix/linux or Mac...
Regards Benny
If it ain't broke, don't fix it ;)
PCLinuxOS(rolling release) 64bit -> KDE5 -> FPC 3.2.2 -> Lazarus 2.2.6 up until Jan 2024 from then on it's: KDE5/QT5 -> FPC 3.3.1 -> Lazarus 3.0

Hi
@MrPink: Here's a little something to get you started...
Attached you'll find 4 of 7 screenshots, of how to create a 'Hello World' console program in lazarus...

Well then – thank you for the continued support.

BART
Progress! I used your exacting direction and was successful. The run button generated a debug screen, where I selected enable dwarf 3. From there, output was as expected. Thank you for facilitating my first toehold in Lazarus; no small thing in terms of confidence. That program-type could be all that I will ever need, given that writing GUI applications (presumably a deliverable for external users) is not in my future. In that sense, the Lazarus IDE may be overkill for me, but it’s an environment that feels like growth, and the right path. In any case, I will likely settle into what’s a good fit for me. Thank you.

HANDOKO
1) I will contact you soon and establish a line of communication. We’ll see what mutually works best with our time zone difference.
2) I will build on my write/run accomplishment above, and get comfortable.
3) As a next step, I will try to import an older program and see if I have success with that. I currently have a renewed need for several of my past TP programs.
4) I will share a summary of my success, or lack of it, and we’ll go from there.

Thank you,
MrPink
