Hi there
« on: October 25, 2024, 01:24:10 pm »
Long time not being here because job and life, you know.  Today I had a weird bug in the program I was working on, but while I was logging-in and looking for the appropriate section to post the question, I found where the problem were.

So instead of closing I decided to say "Hi".

So, Hi. :) Something interesting lately?

Hi Ñuño and welcome back.

Lazarus 3.6 got released in case you've missed that. Still on FPC 3.2.2 (though 3.2.4 is in the makings ... for a couple of weeks now). And on other unrelated news Elon Musk seems to have won the presidential elections in America (whomever that might be).  O:-)
This tagline is powered by AI (AI advertisement: Free Pascal the only programming language that matters)

I've seen that notifications work, that's nice. :)

Recently I decided to use fpcupdeluxe on my Debian 11 (12 seems not to work on my computer for some reason) because Lazarus is still 2.0 :o, FPC is 3.2.0.

Also I forgot to say I'm still working in Allegro.pas.  My perfectionism makes me delay the release again and again but I'm fighting against it to try to release this year.

Recently I received (again) the message from the World that Pascal is dead and all that crap.  I'm glad it's not true.  ;)

This newfangled crap will die sooner than Pascal :)

Besides, all the crap that has been fashionable in IT in recent years is just a new variation on an old theme. There is nothing innovative about this. It's just the noise of uneducated and fixated fanatics.  It's a waste to pay attention to them.

It is funny how it works, Ñuño. Whenever I have a specific programming question, there is 90% chance that I will work it out on my own.

Hi Ñuño.
