I use xmonad on my linux PC,but when I open the lazarus-ide,the layout is not comfortable. the windows designer takes up a half screen, and the editors takes up only eighth.
I need the layout is similar to the lazarus in  windows, the designer is floating and the properties window is small on the left and so on.
does anyone use lazarus on the tilling windows manager? Is there any example config for it?

Considering that I prefer the docked IDE (using AnchorDockingDsgn and DockedFormEditor) I don't have an issue with tiling window managers. 😅

I need to add that recent version needs to enable the docking, both for the IDE windows and form editor from the Options dialogue. It no longer starts the IDE and form editor in a docked manner by default.

Just for clarification:

You mean for the upcoming 4.0 release (which also would imply current trunk)  and in case you have opted to not select the docked IDE option during the first time startup dialog ?
