Fortes Report - New Version

Rewriting a large app in Lazarus so far 25% converted and all going well.

Got to the point where I need to pick a report writer creator etc.

LazReport - might work but very different from QuickReports Delphi - Put on hold for the moment.

Fortes Report - Most things work find and it is very similar to QuickReports so would be ideal however seems unsupported last update Mar 2011 is this correct??  Fortes is almost there and it might be that the 1st report I chose was landscape. After a bit of mucking around I got it to run and the report is like 90%. 

Things that did not work
1. Even though the report was centred on the report form Fortes use the form margin plus the reportform and cut-off the right hand side of the report. When I remove the form margin all good, except the detail band goes of the width of the report - normally this would not matter but I like to colour each line for read ability and it looks out of place with the colours continuing etc.
2. Weirdness with PDF if the report is over the boundaries then no PDF is created. Also logo goes from transparent background to all black when saved via the PDF.

Anyway just wanted to ask if the library (Fortes) will be updated OR am I just not looking in the correct site for the latest version.

Any other report writers that I should check out?

In OPM there is a FortesReport CE; on its original github site (https://github.com/fortesinformatica/fortesreport-ce/tree/master), the last update is from last week. The OPM version is a bit older, though.

Any other report writers that I should check out?

- FPReport which comes with Lazarus (package lazfpreportdesign)
- ZReport, in OPM

So is the best way to rebuild Fortes just to download the source and overlay the previous version then rebuild
OR
Main menu - Package - Online Package Manager
Search for fortes and install the CE version and rebuild (I believe it is saying version 4.0.0.0).

On the Fortes page there a release 4.0.13: https://github.com/fortesinformatica/fortesreport-ce/releases/tag/4.0.1.3, or pick the development version (use git, or click the green "Code" button and select "Download ZIP"). Then go to "Package" > "Open Package File", load Packages/frce.lpk from the unzipped download, click "Use" > "Install".

Or: Run OPM ("Package" > "Online Package Manager"), check FortesReportCE and click "Install". This will get you v4.0.0.0

Whatever you prefer...

I will try 4.0.1.3 as I tried 4.0.0.0 little or no change for the landscape page report, Maybe 4.0.1.3 will fix.
Hope so as the reporting package is so close.

Report back once I have tested.

Tried Fortes version 4.0.1.3 seems to run better but same issues with landscape and logo background.

Might see if I can work-around
With the logo rather than use the PDF-Filter might try to program MS PDF or CutePDF to print the PDF as logo Ok on these PDF's.
With colour for the detail band maybe a border-less memo with colour or maybe a panel etc.
