  4. Description: Even if only available in development versions of the compiler, it would be useful to have predicates to check that files being referenced were actually available.

I don't, and it's really my responsibility to get back up to speed on this- particularly after I criticised somebody else for refusing to engage with it. So please leave it with me.

OK, I give up. Apparently https://gitlab.com/freepascal.org/fpc/source/-/issues/25466 as provided by Bogen85, but I can't see how to do a bloody thing with it other than append a comment...
