[SOLVED] Strange that this happened, may be a bug???
« on: July 24, 2024, 06:31:39 pm »
I started a project a few months ago, a Photographer's Mgt. app.  Anyway, one of my forms, the panel and figured out the form itself had dashed lines running horizontally from top to bottom.  I removed the edit and drop-downs and deleted the panel but then the form itself had this.  So, I removed the form and unit but then noticed the other forms were infected.  So, removed the complete app./project from Lazarus.  Then removed Lazarus from this Winders computer and reinstalled.  Reinstalled a few third-party components I use and loaded the project.  Everything back to normal.

Should I post this somewhere else?

Hi
You, somehow, managed to meddle with the size of the "Snap-To" grid, that always is present on forms and panels etc. at design time. IIRC the default size, from the Lazarus Fabrique, is 8 x 8 horixontally respectively vertically.
I don't think there's cause for reporting...

Okay, thanks.  After I reinstalled Laz and recreated that particular unit I haven't had a problem.  Excuse the late reply ...

Where or what is the Snap-To-Grid?  Looking at the form or panel properties, can't find it?

Found it, you right-click on the form or panel and Snap-to-Grid and Snap-to-Grid Lines are both checked on all my units/Forms ...

Hi
edit: you were faster  8)
-> Right-click somewhere on the form.
(i) this will show a tall menu.
-> Click on the item at the bottom [Options].
(i) this opens the 'Form-Designer-Settings' dialog. See attachment.
(?) From here you should be able to find your own way...  :D
N.B.: I like it finely grained, so mine is set to 2 x 2 pixels...
