TDblookupcombobox
« on: August 07, 2024, 10:39:44 am »
Hello everyone

I got a simple DBF file, single column with Branch Names and it loads correctly into the Tdblookupcombobox.

I am learning visual data controls, and this is a bit odd to me.
If you select something in that combobox, it modifies the table from which the information is loaded until you have a complete mix-up.
If i make the control read-only, it will not allow me to select an entry in the control.

I need the user to simply pick a Branch Name from the list.
I have read a lot of questions on the forum, but have not found one that addresses this question directly.

Thanks you for all the assistance.

-Peter

I don't think TDBLookUpComboBox is the correct one for you.

Try TDBComboBox instead
One System to rule them all, One Code to find them,
One IDE to bring them all, and to the Framework bind them,
in the Land of Redmond, where the Windows lie
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Code is like a joke: If you have to explain it, it's bad
