For someone who only very recently boasted their English skills that is a strange question, given that you even quoted all relevant parts.
Or maybe you apply those skills in an extremely selective manner.... ???

As far as I am concerned, there is an easy to spot difference between (your) "did nothing" and the original "did nothing to offend ... in any way".

If someone is offended by normal (within the context) action, then the problem is with the one that got offended. On this forum, the actions of the user qualify as normal.
If that offends you, then you chosen to be on a place that is not suitable for you...
