There's no excuse for old men to be using the internet at 3:00.

Well, the old man was about 4 hours earlier to warn you all than the official statistics show (which is 7:00, gmt) It shows that cloud and crowd can be difficult to distinguish when woken up from r.e.m. sleep. It is also clear that there was/is considerable panic if that old man gets called at 4:00 a.m. while enjoying his pension...To say the least, I would fire somebody, because such panic - waking up an old man - is highly unprofessional and cruel. O:-)

objects are fine constructs. You can even initialize them with constructors.

What actually happened is that I was never removed from the alarm/calamity list, so do not read too much in it.

No, first take care of it - freeze the systems - , then check out what is going on in detail. We were never out, except of out of sleep. And a strange mistake they woke up a pensioner... ;D
The time difference is simply caused by the time it takes to get everybody to work, either on-line or at the spot(s).

Shifts tend to be at specific whole hours, accidents tend to be not...
Well, we are all vulnerable. Glad to see we are still up. And to see my bank account next week... :P Which comes in handy, because I will show my wife London, not the Savoy nor the Ritz, but close enough to cause a bottomless pit in my wallet...(you don't know my wife, but at least she admits that)
This is more about management than programming, though.
