Is it just me or is this forum really so slow, bordering useless again?!?
It's only been a couple of months, since the last time...

The speed has been good in the past few weeks and today it is really good.

If it is slow on your end, maybe there is problem somewhere in your network (hardware/software/configuration/ISP/etc)

I had experienced the slowliness since yesterday. But some hours ago the problem seemed already gone.

I had slowness recently I sent a message and it didn’t show up in sent items.

Marc can not fix everything immediately. He has a day job. But he always fixes it. And explains what happened. Which in itself deserves recommendation, most sysops don't.

Another thing and I don’t know if this is related to slowness. It seems like people who are online are not showing in the users online section. I’ve asked and they told me that they don’t have show online status disabled.

It would be nice to have everyone online visible to make the forum look active.

But that is already the case... and the forum is always active with on average 5-10 members available over an hour.

I only see 8 other members online. I don’t know about the hundreds per day idea, sometimes there are a lot less like 2.

You misunderstood it. The date "August 02, 2021" is for the most online ever: 2081.

Anyways, I have good news. If we look at the statistic, we will know the activity in the forum is slowly increasing. Unfortunately the New Members count doesn't seem as good as in 2014. The data shows that Pascal is not dying.

Handoko I would be overjoyed if those 811 users online were real people interested in using fpc reading the forums.
There is a good chance that a large portion of those are robots harvesting data.  I’m not sure how to tell who is human and who is a bot. 

 Yes it is true that there are new accounts being created regularly but what becomes of the new accounts over time? You can scrutinize the members list if you want to know the answer.

From what I can tell many of the accounts are not active for long or never post at all. There are also accounts that are fairly old with not very many posts that suddenly have something to say.

There are accounts that seem to have the goal of aggravating the people in forum by pretending to need help.

I think pascal needs a lot of help with public relations because everyone I encounter outside of this forum or chat channel seems to hate it.
