Hi everyone,

Has support for the embedded version of fb been dropped on Linux in the latest fb incarnations (eg v4, v5)?

I had problem making Firebird 4 embedded to work on my Ubuntu Mate computer. Lucky rvk patiently guided me, not only on version 4, he also provided the instruction for Firebird 5 embedded.

Firebird embedded is good in theory. In fact, it is required you to provide many files, configuring the system environment variables (on Linux systems), lack of documentation, and slow. After performing many tests, I found SQLite is much faster than Firebird 4 embedded, so I now using SQLite.
