I haven't find yet a way to have a bitmap shaped form (like Mplayer or Xine) :?

This topic is being discussed on the mailing list.
There are some problems in achieving it on linux and it seems we have to complete the GTK2 interface bindings.
You can still use regions on windows but not yet on linux.
