This is a continuation of Does the source editor use vertical tabs?

For those familiar with Emacs this is something like the C-x b command which lists open files as well as recently used files and enables filtering to the desired file.

Has Lazarus since then acquired an option or plugin mentioned by  Graeme:

New IDE Add-On Package: Opened File List Browser (#13930)

The limitation due to QTs implementation of TTabControl or one of the other notebook controls is still present in the QT builds of the IDE.

For those interested in having the editor display filenames on the right here is a pic. Just search for 'source notebook' in Tools | Options.

You can install an additional package "packagetabs" (Package > Install/Unistall Packages) - description: Replacement of source editor tabs/pages with buttons sorted by package and name.

What remains now is the file search option?
