What i did for this, was to rename the old install dir, recreate it new (empty).
but preserve the config (beyond AppData\local), simply doing an “Upgrade” here of the config.

By that all components the apps used were preserved. Restriction: I normally don’t install them within the IDE but simply use them dynamically from within a program, so a rebuild of the IDE was not needed.

In short, maybe it's better to use a clean install dir.

I compiled a very complex application of my own, without any problems.

Compared to version 2.2.6 I only had to change the FileUtil unit with LazFileUtils, in the uses clause, due to the use of the ExtractFileNameWithoutExt function.

Thanks for the great work.

Many thanks to the amazing team behind Lazarus.
You are great.  :) :) :)

Just installed and made a Hello World.
Not surprisingly it ran well. ( amd64.deb )

One minor note. The About Lazarus still shows version as release candidate.

Version: 3.0RC1

If you install to a clean directory (primary or secondary) the problem does not exist.

I think the problem is that on https://sourceforge.net the "Download Latest Version" button still points to "RC1". Apparently, many users simply click on it.

Oh, like license agreements. I am not sure who needs to be notified to perform that particular change.
