rebuilding IDE fails
« on: January 11, 2025, 05:40:30 pm »
Hi, I am on Apple M1 Pro with MacOS 15.2. Lazarus version is 3.4 and FPC is 3.2.2

I was trying to get all windows docked but after adding the anchordockingdsgn- package and click on "save and recompile" I get an error meassage that the datetimepicker.pas could not be found. And if this is a lazarus package I should check if lazarus was properly installed. So I thought about uninstalling it first following the wiki entry: https://wiki.freepascal.org/Uninstalling_Lazarus_on_macOS. But this seems to be very old. Do you know what to do to get it either working or to get it remoed completly so I can start from scratch?

Thanks in advanced.

I do appologize - a bit more effort on my side and I could have found it myself...

I followed the second post

and realized there is the new 3.6 version out for Mac. So I uninstalled everything with the script provided in this post and downloaded all three mentioned dmg- files. I could install the first one but while installing the fpcsrc-3.2.2-20210709.pkg I get a message that the installation package is deprecated and the package cannot therefore not be installed. So it turns out I don't anything anymore  %)
Probably I have to wait some time until the owner builds a new one.

You could try the 4.0RC2 installer. Just to see if it helps.

Otherwise, I don't have a Mac, so I can't comment on the dmg files.
