I have that in fpc.cfg :

But, I am still getting the error when building Lazarus Normal IDE:

Error: -macosx_version_min has been renamed to -macos_version_minand am unable to "Build Lazarus"

I am trying to install Lazarus 3.8 from the official "Lazarus IDE file area.": https://sourceforge.net/projects/lazarus/files/Lazarus%20macOS%20x86-64/Lazarus%203.8/

My computer is running macOS Sequoia 15.3

And, xcode-select: note: Command line tools are already installed.

Semi-solution:
That error does not prevent compiling as mentioned earlier in this thread.
The compiled lazarus must be copied to:
 lazarus.app/Contents/Resources/startlazarus.app/Contents/MacOS
Then "open startlazarus.app" from "lazarus.app/Contents/Resources"
or something to that effect.

if the version of Xcode is >=15.0, you need the latest FPC (fpc Main Trunk).

FPC was just updated three months ago to improve compatibility with XCode 15+.

I get this error with Lazarus 4.0 (Build date 2025-05-04)
Running Apple M2 Max with 15.4.1
Xcode with Command Line Tools (pre-installed before FPC) version 3.2.2

So then I tracked down the current trunk...

I extracted keeping persmissions over the 3.2.2 version and I get...

Error: ppca64 can't be executed, error message: Failed to execute "ppca64", error code: 127

What did I miss?

@zburns did you ever figure this out? I did the same, poked at a few other things, still no luck. Latest macos, Xcode + command line tools, etc...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Its 2026, the latest version of Lazarus still can't compile anything on the mac. Was a fix for this ever found, or has lazarus on mac been abandoned? (I realise that sounds a little drastic, but if a universal showstopper bug is still there years later, kinda indicates that possibility)
